Xenon Arc Test Chamber is a state-of-art equipment, usually used in Color Fastness to Light and Accelerated weather testing. It measures the effect of sunlight and outdoor conditions, which contain UV radiation, on colors.

Textile garments are generally exposed to sunlight. Sunlight tends to destroy colorants, and “fading” occurs, and color becomes pale and dull. This test helps the manufacturers to evaluate the behavior of colorants that will eventually affect the material’s lifespan.  This test helps understand the susceptibility of dyes to degrade by photochemical degradation and the degree of dye association or agglomeration in fibers. The results also help them in the selection of new color combinations and the improvement of existing colors. Moreover, UV finishes and stabilizers are also tested in it.

Darong Textile Tester has the patent for this Xenon chamber and has development and research patents. Darong is one of the few manufacturers, who are distributing it worldwide. It has vast applications in textiless, coatings, paint, auto-mobile, and other industries where colorants are used.
